We have been learning so much about college since the beginning of school. Our class adopted Texas State as our school of choice and they have so graciously apoted us also. Enjoy a few pictures of the class showing off some of the gear we got.

Life Boats Experiment

In Science we performed an experiment on life boats. In this activity we talked about buoyancy and buoyant force. The kids tried to see how many pennies could fit in the boat (cup) before it would sink. We did this experiment over a few days changing the size of our boats. After the experiment we drew graphs in our science jounals showing the outcome of our experiemnt.



After reviewing what we did on this experiment I would like for you to comment on what you learned from it. You could also tell me what you liked most or least. Another opition is to tell me what could we do to change the experiment if we did it again. Have fun and remember you comments should be in complete sentences before you submit them.

Yarn Friend Search

At the beginning of the year we did an activity where every student had a piece of yarn and they had to find their partner that had the same length of yarn. Once they found their parnters they had ask them a series of questions to find more out about that person. Once everyone was finished with the interviews they then had to introduce their partner to the class. It was a great way for us all to get to know wach other a little better.
